Africa's largest bank, Standard Bank, is bullish about the continent's ability to rise above the Russia-Ukraine war.

Its economics division has not revised Africa's outlook or South Africa's because it does not expect the impact to be as dramatic on the African continent as in Europe unless the conflict drags on for much longer.

In South Africa's case, Standard Bank expects platinum and coal exporters to counteract the effects of the negative impact of oil imports as prices skyrocket.
