Two days after winning her case to be reinstated at the SA Revenue Service (SARS), whistleblower Hope Mashilo says she is baffled by the tax agency's decision to appeal the ruling.
On Monday, Acting Judge Smanga Sethene of the Labour Court, sitting in Johannesburg, rebuked the tax agency for how it had treated Mashilo and her colleague Tshebeletso Seremane.
Mashilo had previously been an executive in the agency's workplace wellness programme, while Seremane position was that of executive: integrity and organisational culture.
