The State Capture Inquiry has recommended that a former Transnet board member who called the group's former CEO Maria Ramos a "crook" and "stupid" be probed for acting against the state-owned entity's best interests in a multi-billion rand IT deal.  

The second part of the State Capture Inquiry report, released on Tuesday, found that former Transnet directors Stanley Shane and Zainul Nagdee "unjustifiably" favoured granting a major data tender to T-Systems SA in 2015.
