Organised business groups have made a plea to President Cyril Ramaphosa to choose his Cabinet carefully, as his decisions will be "decisive in setting the trajectory of the country".
Over the past five years, since Ramaphosa came to power, the economic management of the economy has deteriorated, with crises in energy, mining, logistics and in state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Economic growth has been stagnant.
The exception is the ministry of finance, which business believes has been an example of effective delivery.
