Finance raised to support adaptation to climate change in Africa is billions of dollars short of the estimated cost - and a lack of climate adaptation finance will further lead to more economic and financial damages, according to researchers.

This week, the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its Working Group II report - Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability. It follows on the Working Group I report released in August 2021.
