When you "close" Gauteng, you effectively shut down 60% of domestic leisure travel in the whole of South Africa, Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA), said in reaction to the new lockdown regulations which prohibit leisure travel to and from Gauteng.
