As load shedding made a return this week, generator owners were left with a problem: they couldn’t buy diesel in containers.

Last week, the government announced that it is illegal for motorists to buy diesel and petrol in containers. This follows a spate of looting and unrest in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, that resulted in concerns about fuel shortages.
