South Africans will need to brace for another day of load shedding on Thursday, Eskom has said.

Stage 1 load shedding is set to start at 09:00 and continue until 14:00. This will then be ungraded to stage 2 load shedding until 22:00.

The power utility blamed the cuts on the cold weather, plus generation units tripping at Medupi and Kusile power stations.
