South Africa's festive season is fast approaching and retailers have started decorating stores and advertising specials, but for food companies impacted by Covid-19, the possible recovery during this time is uncertain.

The seven months of South Africa's Covid-19 lockdown had been marked by financial challenges for businesses and consumers as they battled to stay afloat and those who got to keep their jobs had been keeping a close eye on their spending.
