The country's Integrated Resources Plan (IRP) 2019 highlights that renewable energy sources such as solar and wind will play an increasingly significant role in the country's energy mix. While the country boasts abundant wind and solar energy sources, there are still concerns about the variability of these sources potentially compromising power system stability. These concerns were discussed during a webinar on Thursday about the role of energy storage and flexible generation in supporting renewable energy.
