The capability of the state is "hugely compromised" and addressing it is a priority of government, President Cyril Ramaphosa has told delegates at an investor conference.

The third SA Investor Conference was held over two days this past week. It is part of a drive to raise R1.2 trillion in five years. A total of R109.6 billion in new commitments were made by 50 companies, bringing the total investments to R773.6 billion, or about 64% of the five-year target.
