SA's events sector is open for business and it is safe to meet, says the CEO of an industry body.

Hybrid events - where some participants are there in person, while others remain online - may become the most preferred option for some time as many people are not yet comfortable to attend events in person.

This week, the Southern Africa Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) held one of these conferences to discuss the future of the industry. The events sector was one of the hardest hit in the tourism industry because of coronavirus related lockdowns and travel bans.
