South Africa's Reserve Bank cautious on Covid-19 vaccine breakthrough and impact on ailing economy

It might be too soon to call how a Covid-19 vaccine may impact the country's growth trajectory going forward, according to an official from the South African Reserve Bank.

The central bank on Friday held a virtual roundtable discussion with journalists, who engaged with Governor Lesetja Kganyago and deputy governors Kuben Naidoo, Fundi Tshazibana and Rashad Cassim. Member of the monetary policy committee Chris Loewald was also in attendance.
