European stock markets rise at open

Europe's stock markets advanced in opening trade on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.4% at 7 604.78 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.2% to 12 572.61 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.3% to 5 475.82, compared with Thursday's closing levels.
