The Eskom crisis may be our biggest problem right now, but it won't always be - so it's worth looking at what is being done to boost progress elsewhere, notably the reforms to be tackled under Operation Vulindlela, writes Nolwandle Mthombeni.
The writing was always on the wall that we were heading towards higher levels of load shedding. Of course, that doesn't make the experience easier or more palatable.
Despite it feeling like we have a dumpster fire of a year ahead, we should always take a moment to look beyond Eskom to assess whether there have been any improvements elsewhere in the economy. After all, we still need to hold other spheres of our government accountable.
