An often understood challenge of many of the established players in the banking and insurance space is the challenge of legacy systems and the role these have played in making these financial sector monoliths rigid and lacking agility to respond to fast-changing consumer needs - thereby creating a client servicing vacuum.

Fintechs and insurtechs have come in not only to close the vacuum but to offer a way out for the said monoliths to remain relevant and able to service their large client bases.
