The Protection of Personal Information Act has come into effect and businesses must put their houses in order to make sure that they are compliant, including tightening their cybersecurity, says Mamela Luthuli.

There are eight conditions set out by Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act for businesses to be compliant.
