If you are among the very unfortunate people whose businesses have suffered since the advent of Covid-19 – that is, if you have lost a lot of money, been forced to let go of your employees, depleted your savings while paying them what you could in order to supplement the shortfall left by the Unemployment Insurance Fund – and yet still had to shut your business down, where would you place the blame?

Would you blame the pandemic, the harsh lockdown restrictions, or by extension, government itself?

What if your business had been appropriately insured before and during lockdown – at least, you believed this was the case – and you had rest assured every night, believing that should anything go wrong, you would be paid out, only to be met with quite a different reality upon lodging your claim in a time of distress?
