Cape Town - GPS devices are clever tools to help you navigate, especially if you're in a foreign city, but as smartphones more - well - smart, they have taken over much of the GPS functionality.

Device manufacturer TomTom believes that GPS devices have a place in the modern traveller's arsenal - especially as they don't rely on a mobile network connection to identify location.
