How many calories do you add to your
diet by drinking fizzy drinks - the regular kind, with sugar?
If you go by the label, not all that many. At least not in one bottle. Trouble is, they add up.
The School of Public Health, University of Minnesota in the US, decided to find out what the real-life calorie intake was among people who drink fizzy drinks.
As reported in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, they polled 1 810 people of all ages.
Those who drank regular fizzy drinks averaged 2 018 calories a day from all sources, while those who didn't drink the fizzy drinks averaged 1 830 calories every day.
