22 year old male, think I have add.

Hi there, Im a 22 year old male and am convinced that I have some form of add. Concentrating and focusing is a daily challenge, even in the things I enjoy doing, my thoughts are always all over the place, and when i do put in my best effort to concentrate, im left completely mentally drained after about 2 hours. I just want to ask some advice on the best way forward? I want to find out from someone what kind of medications can help, should it be able to benefit me, or if there are any other routes I can take. Should I consult with my GP, or rather go straight to a Psychiatrist? Thanks so much.

If you are considering medication a psychiatrist or neurologist would be best to make the diagnosis of ADHD and for the further monitoring of treatment. If you do not know of one in your area, your GP should be able to assist with a referral.
