What to ask
I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow. I think I have ADD but I don't know exactly what to tell the doctor. Will he just ask questions to be sure if I have the condition or how does it work?

I am sorry my reply comes after your appointment. I'll make a few comments here should someone be in a similar situation.
Generally a diagnosis of an adult will involve a questionnaire around various behaviours and situations. Answers are usually provided on a numbered scale or 'never to always' type scale. There are no physical tests involved.
Depending on the type of doctor, medication may be prescribed or further tests requested to rule out other causes for the difficulties experienced; another alternative may be the recommendation of counselling.
