Do you know...
Hi Doc,

I was diagnosed with having "hemicrania continua" round a year ago - treatment at Cape Town Neuro.

I'm using 50mg of Trepiline each night - the treatement works, but I think that I might actually have sleep apnea !

My husband says I snore a lot (and hard) and 2 of the symptoms of sleep apnea is snoring and a problem with your brainwaves...(hem continua is - acc to Neuro - problem with brain waves not being normal )

Maybe shed some light on the above 2 subjects for me ????
And would like to meet up with anybody having the same ...

Thanks
Gerda

Hemicrania Continua (H.C.) and sleep apnoea are not related.

H.C. is a relatively uncommon condition with one sided continuos headache. It usually gets much beter on Indomithacin.

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea can cause headaches, but these are generally dull general headaches when awaking in the morning
