The Gueckerman regime's most important component is tar. We do not use the regimen any more. Tar is smelly, stings and stains. The Ingram regime has the following components- ultraviolet light, tar in bath, moisturizers, topical cortisone and topical dithranol. This is an inpatient treatment and usually lasts for 3-4 weeks. The duration of remission is 2-6 months.
