Could you please explain the following terms used on the X-Rays taken on a four year old boys feet.
Irregularities of the base of the Metatarsals.
Irregularities mixed sclerotic apperance of the tarsal bones.
In simple terms what does this mean and what steps would have to be taken to correct this. He has walked on his toes since he started walking and now they say physio will not help. I would appreciate some information on this condition.

His metatarsals have changed shape and there is a changed density of the bone in the metatarsals, he probably needs to see a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon for some definitive treatment especially as he has always been a toe walker, the changes are due to his toe walking
