lactic acid built up in calf muscles
Experience pain in calf muscles when running long distances or hills. Get balloon effect. The pain and presssure builts up. How can I negate this? I do stretch. They tell me it is lactic acid built up.

I'm not sure what you mean by balloon effect. Please send another post re it.
Just a couple of points. When stretching, make sure you don't do bouncing stretches as they just cause rapid contractions and relaxations without helping much. Make sure you hydrate well. If running long distances without hydrating this could cause cramping.
Make sure any socks that you wear are not too tight fitting. This could impede or decrease good circulation in the calf and lower limbs.
Set yourself realistic running targets as well. It may be worth decreasing those for a while and build up. After all, there's only one Bruce Fordyce.
