neck problems
Hi there, I've had a neck problem since I can remember, I am now 24, I never injured my neck as per say in sport or anywhere I can think of it could have gotten damaged, but I have to go to the chiropractor every now and again when I can't stand the irritation of my neck anymore, they just click it back in and it will be better for a little time only, I never seem to get to the solution for my neck to not pain at all, I started to think maybe I must become a chiropractor myself to click my neck in everytime it gets so sore. I have no idea on what I need to do to get rid of my problem, please help?
Hi einapyn
There can be a number of causes; from bone through discs to muscular.
A common cause can be postural; the way one sits in front of the computer, for example. Check that your chair height/ screen distance are suitable i.e. that one isn't doing an imitation of Quasimodo. Or as the estate agents would say; position , position, position!
Chiropractory does work and well, but it may be worth trying another form of therapist such as a physio for an alternative style of therapy.
If an X-ray has not been done it would be good to do one to exclude other causes.
good luck
