sore knee
What is the best healing process for tendinitis. I have been battling with my knee on and off since mid Decemer. I have been on cortizone and anti-inflammatory tablets, but it didn't heel completely. When I run it is sore for about 2-5 min and as soon as my knee becomes warm the pain goes away and I can do 10km easily. I have started with Physio two days ago and haven't done any running since Saturday. I am training to do the two oceans half marathon. Advice would be appreciated.

Hei Hein<br><br>The tendonitis you mean I presume is at the front of the knee, known as patellaar tendonitis.<br>You are doing all the right things, at present.( I'm presuming you mean cortisone tablets? not injection. Injections @ tendons aren't really a good idea)<br>Look at if you changed anything recently in your training or gear. ie. Did you get new different type of shoes, are you training on different surfaces? And adapt as necessary. <br>It may be due to external factors but can also be due to intrinsic ones (for example, the way you walk)<br> The physio is just started so don't expect too much too soon. <br>When stretching don't stretch to pain- just enough that you can feel the stretch.<br><br>Enjoy the 2 oceans<br><br>i
