suspisious colon symptoms
Hi, I hope I'm asking the question to the right doc.

I have been noticing during the last few weeks a kind of "mucus" in my stools. It seems to be a orange-red.

I remember a doctor asking me if I had such symptoms when I had a stomache virus and so I have a negative association with it.

I am constipated often and wouldn't say I have "regular" bowel habits, although I have small stools often.

I have been wondering whether this could be a symptom for some disease or even colon cancer. Should I be concerned?

Although it may help to know your age, I still believe you must consult a gastro-enterologist, not only to rule out cancer, but also other and more common conditions like polyps, infection and inflammation.
