Vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
I use a daily multivitamin (with some minerals) and have found that it has strengthened my immune system. I do however, still struggle with terrible hayfever symptoms - I know this is the immune system over-reacting to stimuli. The hayfever never seems to disappear, despite me taking daily antihistamines and nasal sprays. I live in Johannesburg and while on a visit to Pretoria recently, my nose itched non-stop.

Will it help my immune system to add antioxidants to my daily intake of multivitamins? Or will this cause vitamin 'overload'?

I do not advise that you take more anti-oxidants, rather add a good digestive enzyme supplement (containing bromelain) that you take with main meals, and strengthen the mucous membranes with the herb goldenseal for one month. The process is to reduce inflammation and strengthen the membranes that are too sensitive.
