I think I have guttate psoriasis but I dont have money to have it seen to by a dermatologist. It seems to flare up badly when I'm very stressed. Is there anything I could buy over the counter which will help? I have it in my hair, my upper arms and my legs. I'm starting a second round of attack after the first major one in February - some of the spots havent disappeared from then. This time round it doesnt hurt at least. Are there vitamins I can include?
I understand that it is expensive to go to a specialist, but I have seen that sometimes people spend equal amounts of money trying to avoid the specialist with over the counter remedies, which in the end does not help. I would suggest that you do not buy a lot of different remedies, but rather wait until you can see the specialist. A GP will also be able to help with prescription medication or ointments. What I would suggest in the meantime is a zinc supplement, zinc is very good for the skin and will help strengthen the skin's barrier. Good luck.
