I had blood in my urine and several tests were done. The doctor said that I was infected with bilharzia at some stage ,but I am fine now. I had no treatment for the infection. Is this OK? Will I later suffer from my kidneys and or liver due to this? Should I not take medicine?

Dear Silly
If you had bilharzia blood tests and the IGG showed positive you may have had bilharzia before. If the IGM was negative , you have been healed from the previous infection. Active bilharzia infection can harm the kidneys. However, blood in the urine is never normal and if it is still present you need to see an urologist.
