bladder problem
in july i had a problem with my bladder and the doc managed to fix it after 3sets of antibiotics. i am now out of SA working in central africa and find it difficult to find decent medical practioners.
the problem: i feel like i am leaking urine but there is no evidence of this. often i feel like i need to wee however but there may be no reason to as i have just been to the toilet. vibration of driving/flying can make it feel worse. after a nights sleep it is fine for a while after waking up. it feels like i need to hold a wee cos it feels like the muscle in the bladder is not doing its job. i am male 25years. my doc has prescribed a cipro which didnt help. any suggestions?

Hi Louis,
You could have an “irritable bladder” where inflammation of the bladder causes the muscle to contract even if the bladder is not full.
They must send an urine sample to the lab – if you have no pus cells and bacteria in the urine, you could use something to relax the bladdermuscle like URISPAS. You should see an urologist when back in SA if it does not clear up.
