Blood in urine...
Hi,
I am a 27 year old man. About a week ago I found blood in my urine. The urine was a normal colour but after I urinate there was a small amount of blood that come out, the blood was a bright colour… This only happened once and during the urination there was a burning sensation on the tip of my penis. The blood stopped but this morning it happened again? Could this be a early sign of prostate cancer? There isn’t really cancer in our family…

Dear Worried, no it need not be a sign of prostate cancer, it could be caused by a small kidney or bladderstone that you passed that scratched the tube or can be caused by strenuous exercise. In older people we would like to exclude things like bladder cancer etc. If the bloody colour persists, ask your GP to do a urine MCS test.
