Ask an expert

Hi Dr,

I feel like I can't breath properly - like I can't take a deep breath, and it is quite frustrating.
This happened last year too - and the Dr. gave me an inhaler, but it went away after about 3 - 4 days.
What I never mentioned, is that my office is in a factory using spray paint - and the fumes are sometimes quite strong ... can this cause long term damage, and how should I go about checking this out?

Thank You

You could be getting a type of allergic asthma - you should have a doctor associated with your factory - ask him to send you for a lung function test and to ascertain if you have asthma. If so, you must get proper treatment and be moved away from the painting area.
