Closed Glands

My friend went to Kenya last year, when he got back after about 2 weeks his saliva gland under his tongue started to swell. He went to the doctor and after x-rays and test they found something like a kidney stone blocking it, so thet operated to remove it. But since then it keeps closing up and forming this big blister under his tongue, he has had about 3 other operations to get rid of the blister since then, but it just comes back after a week. What could be causing this and is there a cure? Also could you tell me if there is a specialist in the Gauteng or Pretoria area he can see?

Thank you

Rocko, it sounds like the right treatment is given and I don’t know why it repeats. I suppose the best would be to get a second opinion from a different surgeon and if nothing else works, to have it removed completely. Good luck.
