I WOULD LIKE YOUR OPINION ON A MATTER PLEASE , WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO A SCRIPT GIVEN TO A PATIENT THAT SUFFERS FROM THROMBOSIS AND PARKINSONS . HE IS ON VARIOUS CHRONIC MEDICATION FOR BOTH ILLNESSES , INCLUDING WAFARIN 5MG DAILY . THE MAIN QUESTION ON MY MIND IS THE NEW SCRIPT FOR PREXIGE 400MG DAILY THAT WAS ISSUED LAST NIGHT FOR A SMALL ATTACK OF GOUT .YOUR OPINION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED . KIND REGARDS TRACEY

Hi Tracey
I would be very hesitant to give a patient on Warfarin Prexige as it may lead to uncontrolled bleeding - I would rather use normal painkillers like Panado with Voltaren gel and do a blood test to see if the uric acid was high - if so you can rather use something like Allopurinol to get the acid levels down.
