ECG Query
I am a 30 yr old female. I went for various blood tests at the request of my GP. He has asked me to come in for an ECG. Why? What is it for? I could not ask him as his receptionist made the appointment. I do have a cholesterol problem which I got from my mother.
Hi CS
An ECG is part of your general examination for any patient with a family history of high cholesterol or with high cholesterol themselves. It is to prevent and detect any signs of early heart disease.
