A few years ago I got extremely ill one night after eating something that had too much baking powder in it. I started vomiting and using the toilet at the same time. I passed out. I went to hospital. Since that night, I have been losing weight like crazy. I went from 90kg to 50kg, I can't eat. I am always tired. My feet is always swollen. I have been to several doctors and nobody can tell me why I am losing weight. I have high blood pressure and get medication for it but it's never affected me like this before. One doctor told me it might be my kidneys but they haven't offered me treatment or told me what I can do. I use metformin pills.

I think you need to go and see a specialist, preferably a physician (internal medicine specialist). Have you been diagnosed with diabetes? Or why are you using the metformin? It could be the metformin causing the symptoms, especially if you do not need to be on the medication. Or it could be that your diabetes is not under control.
