Fanconi syndrome
Can Fanconi syndrome (related illness - kidney rickets, blindness, deafness and kidney failure be cured) My sister has fanconi syndrome and has all the related illnesses and I am wondering if there is something that can cure her for examples operations and treatment.
15. Dear Michelle,
Fanconi’s syndrome is an acquired or inherited disorder ( acquired due to toxic chemicals, vit D deficiency, contact with outdated antibiotics) It can not be cured but can be managed. In some cases a renal transplant may be needed. Hopefully she is with a nephrologist , they specialize in these type of diseases?
