Hair Loss - Desperation, pls advise whatever poss..
Hi there Doc
One may think this is me being silly but i am serious about it:
Please can you tell me honestly as i dont want to waste my time or money trying products that dont work: My boyfriend is 23 and his hair is thinning- you can see his sculp quite clearly through his hair now (i think its gotten worse over the past couple of weeks)- but i am sure its not falling out as such. There is never any hair on his pillow and when you gently pull at it, it doesnt come out. I have heard of Vigro hair product range. Does it work?? and even if it is a genetic thing can we expect it to grow thicker??? His dad now shaves his head as he didnt like the grey, but i dont think he is bald as such. Please help me- i think i am more worried the person i love most loosing (or whatever it may be!) his hair than he is!! It is begining to stress me out. I dont want a bald boyfriend who is only 23!!!
Ple advise any product that could help us...
Many thanks.
J.

Hi Jinx
Don't look at his dad - look at his grandpa on his mother's side - if he is bald your boyfriend's chances are good to be bald also. The only things that work ( scientifially proven) is Minoxidil lotion and Propecia, hair transplants and lazer treatment. All the others just feeds the scalp and hair and will give you healthy hair but will not prevent baldness. It has to do with the high level of male hormones they have - they have better things to do with it than growing hair....
