Hi doc, i suffer from panic attacks, when i get one my heart beats like a million beats a second. Is this dangerous, the very fast heartbeat i mean? Can i tear something in/around my heart, valves, arteries etc? Thanks a stack.

A fast regular heartbeat will not be a problem during a panic attack. Panic attacks can be very uncomfortable and disstressing and I therefore, suggest that you consult your doctor for an examination and medication. There might be a physical reason for your panic attacks, like hyperthyroidism.
