Inflammation of the nerve
I've got a sore area just below my right breast which extends downwards, the real sore place being on the actual rib. It feels as if I may have knocked and bruised myself on the rib but I know I definately did not knock myself. My doctor diagnosed inflammation in the nerve and put me on anti-inflammatory's and painkillers. How long does it take before the anti-inflammatory tables start working?

Tiffany, the inflammation should get better within 24-48 hours. You should start feeling better within 12-24 hours. If it hasn’t improved by the time you get this reply, the best would be to let your doctor know and maybe get something stronger. Good luck.
