Is it safe to get my ears pierced now?
Hi Cyber Doc

A few years ago i had a small cyst in my earlobe. The first thing my doc asked me when he saw it was, 'Do you have your ears pierced?' In that ear i had three holes at the time but was letting them close up. The doc gave me anti-biotics and the cyst went away. It has now been about four or five years since I had the cyst and although my piercings have closed, i am tempted to get them pierced again - all those pretty earrings have been catching my eye ;) But i don't want to risk getting a cyst again! Do you think it's safe to get my ears pierced or should i leave it? Safety first is my motto!

Dear Georgia
It is probably safe to have your ears pierced again - just be careful to keep the ears clean after the piercing to prevent infection ( clean with surgical spirits often)
