Hi there! I need your help, please. I have about five small (+- 3mm) white/yellowish "knobs" on my scrotum. I am 23 years of age and have had these for the past few years now - I have never been sexually active.

The knobs feel like a small pea located on the surface of the scrotum skin. It is completely visible and has an off-white colour. The "knob" itself is painless and hard (you can actually roll it between your thumb and index finger). Over the years, some of them have formed and then disappeared after some time, but some of them remained behind and is growing VERY slowly.

Please advise me on what this could possibly be, and what the treatment will involve. I am obviously, like most men, too shy to see a doctor when it involves problems "down there".

Thank you very much for your assistance.

John, I can’t say for sure without examining you first, but it sounds like it might just be the small sebaceous glands in the skin. If they come and go, it’s nothing to worry about. Good luck.
