Migraines/fainting
Hi

My sister has regular migraines and recently passed out and had to be taken to hospital. She did scans etc to find out what caused it and still couldn't find anything. this is the third time that she's gone through a series of tests (including blood tests) and still no report on what could be the problem. is there anything they should be looking for? and what could be the problem with her?

Thanks
Regards,
Brenda

Hi Brenda
Any severe headache must be properly examined to exclude things like brain tumours etc. If the scans are clear, she may just be getting a severe form of migraine. She may need to look at her diet avoiding chocolates, citrus fruits, strong cheeses and too much refined sugar and try and eat small meals 6 times a day as low bloodsugar can cause attacks.
