Mouth Ulcers
Recently - over the last 3 - 4 weeks i have been getting the most painfull mouth ulcers to the point where i have to take time off work due to the pain. I have a healthy lifestyle but stressfull work environment, the only medication i am on is Desylex for chronic rhinitis. At the moment i am using andolex to ease the pain as i cannot get the kenelog back there and it is just too painfull to the touch. I'm also rinsing with dermadine in the mornings to try and kill whatever it is. There have been 2 really nasty ones, the first was a week and a half ago and was on my "small tounge" at the back of my throat. the one i have now is also at the back but at the base of the tounge on the left side. Both have been excrutiatingly painfull. What to do?
Hi Justin,
Please let a dr look at you - it should not be so painful - maybe he must also check your blood cells and see if the white cell count is normal? Andolex is a good idea, you won't be able to put the Kenalog at the back without making yourself nauseous. A terrible tasting mouthwash that worked well is a mixture of tetracycline antibiotic, water and cortisone that the older pharmacists used to make - I don't even know if they can still! Maybe you could ask? They have a "recipe"book in most pharmacies that they can look up in??
