Bob, are you sure of your diagnosis? Xatral® (like Cardura® and Minipress®) is an alpha-receptor blocker and is more often used in benign prostate hypertrophy, but it can work in neurogenic bladder disorder as well depending on your symptoms. Anti-cholinergics like Detrusitol® and Ditropan® are also often used. The problem is that neurogenic bladder may present with symptoms ranging from incontinence to urine retention and the treatment is focussed at the predominant symptom. If the Xatral® works for you it’s fine, otherwise the best would be to see an urologist. Good luck.
