Ongoing runny tummy
Hi Doc,
My husband is under a lot of stress and I am not sure whether this is the reason for his runny tummy.
For the past few months his tummy is going quite often (5/6 times a day) and it is runny (but it's not watery all the time). Every now and then he takes an Immodium to stop it. He doesn't experience stomach cramps or any other symptoms.
He says he is fine, but I am still worried.

Dear Worried wife,
He needs to be checked - could be a chronic parasite infection, stress ( irritable bowel), or malabsorbtion. Take a stool sample with to the doctor ( not more than 24 h old, about 2 teaspoons full in a clean medicine bottle - in a plastic bag please...)
