Overactive stomach
I have been having problems for a few months now with my stomach. I have experienced the following:

Feeling of bloatedness
Weight gain - especially around stomach area
Excessive (and very embarrassing) gas - occurs mainly when lying down, but occurs approximately 80 times a day. I can feel it moving around inside me.
Increased defecation - often twice a day which is an increase from how it used to be.

I don't know how many of these symptoms are linked, but I thought it's best to tell you everything. My stomach is not sore at all. I originally though I may be lactose intolerant, but these symptoms occur regardless of milk use. I am vegetarian, but have been for many years. My diet has not changed.

I do not have medical aid so cannot afford to visit doctor, also this is a bit embarrassing to tell someone.

Thanks so much!

Dear Stomach,
You could have a parasitic infection or an overgrowth of normal bacteria in the bowel. Try using Lactobacillus capsules 3 times a day for a week and go and see a GP if it does not improve?
